If artists Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Depeche Mode were to somehow have a baby, it would be in the form of Miloh Ramai. Fitting, as it’s these musicians that he draws inspiration from.
Miloh Ramai is a 27-year-old singer/songwriter from Pretoria North who distinguishably stepped into the pop scene in 2019 with singles like ‘Run,’ ‘Sober,’ ‘Secret‘ and ‘Crave.’ After airtime on major South African radio stations, Miloh now brings us ‘The Stranger,’ the fifth single from his upcoming debut album, ‘ALPHA.’
Miloh brings a unique flare and stunning visuals to his live performances and videos and is a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in South Africa.
The new single,’The Stranger, debuted on 21 August. It is a 2020 electronic dance/pop anthem written and performed by Miloh and produced by Joburg-based Sloani. “It serves as a kind of tribute to movies and stories about ghosts and ghouls (movies like The Blair Witch Project, Sinister, The Babadook and Insidious just to name a few) which have fascinated me for most of my life,” Says Miloh.
“The song is about a one directional dialogue between a person and an unknown entity that stalks him when he sleeps at night. Even though the ghost’s intentions are unknown and unreasonable and even after being personally confronted, the ghost never leaves so the outcome of the story is unknown.”
