CAPE TOWN PRIDE 2022 LAUNCH

OUTReach Africa is well on its way to creating a new and fabulous Pride in Cape Town and this year we are going to Belgium to launch Cape Town Pride 2022.

After a two year pause in our lives, Cape Town Pride will be launching PRIDE 2022! Come with us on a spectacular trip to Belgium for the day – hosted by the Belgian Consul General. “You will be on Belgian soil, enjoy all the Belgian waffles, beers and other delicacies courtesy of the Belgian Consulate” said Thomas Patterson (Director of OUTReach Africa).

As with any fabulous Cape Town Pride Event the stage will be filled with a bevvy of local artists such as; Manila von Teez, 3D, Maxine Wild, Latheem Gabriel, 3 Tons of Fun, DJ Groovy Q, DJ Mitzy and many more!

The funds raised from Cape Town Pride 2022+ launch will be allocated to the Nkoli House Project. The Nkoli House* Project, so named in honour of the late Simon Nkoli, a queer activist and anti-apartheid campaigner, who fought tirelessly for freedom, equality and social justice.

The project has identified the need for a community centre aimed at providing a home, and safe space, for our diverse LGBTIQA+ community to gather, meet and mix with like-minded people – with special emphasis on the often-overlooked needs of the silver seniors in the community. This space is to be used as a Community Centre and Senior Citizens home once it has been completed.

Please note the COVID Protocols for the event:

To ensure the safety and protection of each other and the wider community, we require proof of COVID-19 vaccination (One or Both) or a negative COVID-19 test result (Either Lateral Flow Test or PCR) or proof of antibodies test from within 48hrs before entry.
