34TH JOHANNESBURG PRIDE MARCH CELEBRATES DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Johannesburg, South Africa – October 24, 2023 — Johannesburg’s vibrant and inclusive community is gearing up for the much-anticipated 34th Johannesburg Pride March, set to take place on the 28th of October, 2023. This annual celebration of diversity, love, and unity promises to be a day of solidarity and pride for all.
For your convenience, parking is available at surrounding malls, and The Wanderers Club is operating parking at the upper and lower rugby fields. Tickets for the event can be conveniently purchased online, the link has been shared on all our social media platforms. Its important to note that Pride does not benefit in any way from the parking fees.
The march will kick off at 10:00 AM from the iconic Wanderers Cricket Stadium, symbolizing the strength and unity of the LGBTQ+ community. Participants will follow a captivating route through Rosebank, spreading a message of acceptance and inclusivity. The march is expected to return to the Wanderers Cricket Stadium by 15:30.
After the march, the festivities continue with an exciting After Party hosted at the Wanderers Cricket Stadium starting at 15:30, featuring Khamo Mphelaxx, the Jägermeister Brass Cartel, MS Party, The Billionaires and many more community dj’s. It’s the perfect opportunity to continue the celebration, make new friends, and embrace the spirit of pride.
The entertainment lineup for the Pride event will extend until 21:00, providing an array of performances and activities to keep the celebration alive. At 21:00, the event will cross live for a Rugby Live Stream from France in support of the South African National team, offering an exciting fusion of pride and sports.
Please be aware that access to the stadium will be restricted from 20:00. For those within the stadium, you’re welcome to stay until the end of the Rugby game, but there will be no pass outs during this time.
The 34th Johannesburg Pride March is more than just an event; it’s a symbol of unity, equality, and love. All are invited to join in, No Entrance Fee, No barrier to entry showing their support for LGBTQ+ rights and celebrating the rich tapestry of South Africa’s diverse communities.
