The purpose of this conference is to support the ongoing effort to create not only safer spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community, within the Gauteng province but also wellness driven initiatives. Alongside advocacy and activism, the advancement and importance of Total Wellness and Holistic Spirituality specifically under the Queer rainbow runs parallel thereto. In addressing this gap, our organisation holds an “Annual Queer Spirituality and Wellness Conference”. The intention is to celebrate our vast spirituality and consciously pursue wellness together. The theme of the conference this year is self-healing, all activities and topics speak to the
importance of self-healing.

Many faith communities; and cultural practices are still not affirming of queer minorities, so this conference aims to bridge that gap and provide that ever needed debrief and sense of community for the marginalised within the faith and cultural space. This event is open to all persons regardless of sexual orientation, creed, faith or race, in order for all people to join in one chorus for an inclusive and healed society. The conference is a three-day camping experience with each day focusing on different aspects of self-healing. Sunday is a family and ally picnic to ensure that the broader community experiences wellness from a queer perspective. The weekend is not just a party but entertainment through the lens of wellness.

Our overarching pillars of our Conferences are:
• Total Wellness
• Holistic Spirituality
• Human Rights

The Theme for this year, 2023, is “Self-Healing”
• Date: 10-12 November 2023
• Time: Friday 14:00 – Sunday 17:00
• Venue: Roodeplaat Nature Reserve – North Side (Moloto Road) Pretoria

The conference has also gained interest from an interfaith campaign lead, LGBT+ Rights group in Ghana who expressed interest in joining the conference in 2024. Your assistance will ensure the strengthening of the conference on the continent. A copy of their letter is available hereto to highlight our common objective and experiences.
